How do I become a good networker?

Networking is a way to meet people who, based on your vision, will help you be successful. There are two types of networking:

1. Networking with people who know each other but are unknown outside that group.

2. Networking with peers to benefit your career.

Both are important, depending on your expected outcome.  

Learn to cast your net wide to meet people both in personal and professional gatherings. Network to turn strangers into acquaintances, turn acquaintances into useful allies and turn allies into members of your team who will help you succeed.
