Enter the Kappa Delta photo contest
It’s time to grab your digital camera and start shooting! You have the chance for your photograph to be seen by the 115,000 recipients of The Angelos. Talk about bragging rights!
Rules
* The subject matter must relate to Kappa Delta.
• Contest is open to members of Kappa Delta, amateur photographers only.
• Photos must be submitted electronically as an e-mail attachment to AngelosPhotoContest@kappadelta.org.
• Photographs and completed entry forms must be submitted electronically no later than 5 p.m. October 15, to be considered eligible for the contest.
• Digital photos should be of the highest quality possible. Files should be in .jpg format no larger than 3 MB. No print photos will be accepted.
• Minimal manipulation of digital images with the intention of accurately rendering the subject is acceptable, such as small adjustments to brightness, contrast, color balance and/or sharpness. No other digital manipulation of an image is allowed.
• Enter a maximum of one photo per category.
• Photos submitted must be taken by the entrant. Only one name can be listed as the photographer on the entry form.
Categories
Collegians and alumnae will be judged separately in the following categories:
• People (any photo containing people)
• Landscapes (no people depicted; instead, buildings, still lifes, etc.)
Fine Print
• The entry form is available by clicking here and must accompany each entry.
• Photos may be color, black and white or sepia.
•Any submission that does not meet the above criteria will not be considered.
• By submitting the entry form, you confirm that you snapped the photograph and that you grant permission to allow the photograph to be used by Kappa Delta in publicity-related materials including, but not limited to, The Angelos, KD Connect, Kappa Delta websites, extension, promotional and/or other materials.
• Several of the KD professional photographers featured on these pages will judge the entries. Photos will be evaluated for clarity, composition, subject matter, emotional reaction and artistic value.

Prizes
Winners will be announced in the winter 2011 issue of The Angelos. Prizes, courtesy of the KD Boutique, will be awarded to the first-place winner in each category, with collegians and alumnae judged separately. In addition, one grand prize photo will be selected to appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of The Angelos.
• Grand Prize: A Vera Bradley “Miller” bag, designed by Kappa Delta Patricia Polito Miller, Sigma Upsilon-Indiana.
• First-place prizes: A real nautilus shell framed in a shadow box and signed by the KD artist, Judy Hare Thorne, Alpha Iota-UCLA.
