KENTUCKY - When Emily Tussey, Epsilon Omega-Kentucky, decided she needed a change in hairstyle, she also chose to do something worthwhile with the 10 inches of hair she would be cutting off. Holding the ponytail that she donated to Locks of Love, which helps provide wigs for children with cancer, Emily says she was motivated in part by a chapter sister who was going through chemotherapy at the time. “We sent tons of cards and gifts to support her, but I felt compelled to try to help others, too. I knew I could donate my hair to Locks of Love and a child with financial needs could receive a wig. I'm still so happy that I gave my hair - and maybe hope - to a child in need.” |
